Unlike standard environmental seals that use gaskets or O-rings, a true hermetic seal is created through the fusion of materials, typically metal-to-metal or glass-to-metal to ensure that the internal electrical or mechanical circuit remains in a perfectly isolated environment. Why Is Hermetic Sealing Critical for Sensor Reliability?

How Is Hermeticity Verified? Helium Leak Testing Explained

Because you cannot see a gas-level leak with the naked eye, hermeticity is verified using mass spectrometry, the gold standard in leakage detection.
